The ATA (Automotive Technical Association) was founded in 1948 for the dissemination of the automotive knowledge, to bring out the automotive technical culture and to promote the collaboration between the academic world and the industrial sector.

It publishes the Ingegneria dell'Autoveicolo magazine, including articles on interviews, technical papers, theoretical investigation, etc..

A special attention is paid to University students, because they constitute the synergistic connection between the learning and the working worlds. For this reason, ATA organizes technical tours in companies and conferences at Universities and provides scholarships for worthy students.

Moreover, an annual survey is carried out to monitor the relationship between Universities and companies in Italy. It is followed by a workshop, during which results and successful collaboration cases are presented.

60 years have already passed since in 1948 and the Association goes on and renews itself in the same way as technological and market trends.

European Society of Biomechanics
The European Society of Biomechanics was founded in 1976 in a meeting in Brussels with 20 scientists from 11 countries. It is now the largest Biomechanics society in Europe with almost 500 members.

The primary goal of the ESB is to encourage, foster, promote and develop research, progress and information concerning the science of Biomechanics.

The Laboratory for Modeling and Scientific Computing MOX started its activity in march 2002 with the purpose of coordinating and developing the expertise in modeling, numerical and statistical methods present in the Department of Mathematics "F. Brioschi" at Politecnico di Milano.
MOX collaborates with several research laboratories, both from Politecnico di Milano and from other institutions belonging to industrial and academic world.

NAFEMS was founded in 1983 with a specific objective namely: "To promote the safe and reliable use of finite element and related technology."
Over the intervening years, NAFEMS Ltd has become an independent, not-for-profit, international membership association, owned by its member's. The scope of activities spans the original finite element methods, through CFD to Optimization.
As new application areas and techniques constantly evolve, NAFEMS becomes involved to create awareness and deliver appropriate education and training. To more closely reflect the aims of the evolved organization a new mission statement was produced early in 2000: "To facilitate international industry, academia and government collaboration, that leverages unbiased multi-isciplinary engineering expertise; To improve product and process simulation. To have a positive impact on quality, profitability, schedules and safety.
